Voice Test Post

Just what it says on the box! If you're interested in the game but not sure which character you want to play, or if you're testing out a new one, or if you just want to thread with someone, this is the place to do it. If you want to play your characters as already having Dream Eaters, that's just fine too - that's part of the fun of this game, after all!

Why, yes. [She gestures to Spike, who stands up straight and puffs up just a bit.] Dream Eaters, a bit like Spike, except with red eyes and not friendly at all.

Miss Rarity, thank you, and I'm certain you can, but there's no reason for you to wander around by yourself when you've only just arrived. Traverse Town can be something of a maze if you're not used to it, after all.

Now, what kind of tea do you prefer, miss...?

[Somepony is not taking no for an answer. Must be Tuesday.]

Elsa.

[Not a Queen anymore, really, and she doesn't want to talk about it anyway. Rarity is clearly not going to take no for an answer, and frankly, it's weird. Who wants her around like this? Weird, and frustrating, because she knows it's for the best.]

Miss Rarity, I'm not sure if you've noticed, but I am freezing everything around me. I cannot come over for tea.

Lovely to meet you, Miss Elsa.

[Honestly, Rarity doesn't see why it's such a concern. What she's more worried about is leaving somepony who's obviously new here to the nonexistent mercy of the Nightmares.]

It's probably a magic surge, dear. it happens all the time to unicorns who are getting used to their magic, and it will pass much more quickly if you focus on something else.

Of course, if you don't care for tea, I'm certain Emile wouldn't mind sharing his coffee, or Pinkie Pie may have left some hot chocolate mix in the cupboard.

...it does?

[To hear it described as something common and matter-of-fact...Elsa stares at Rarity for a second, looking as if she's thinking about crying.

But she oughtn't to get her hopes up. Unicorn magic probably isn't really similar to hers - like the trolls couldn't really do anything for her, all those years ago. Instead she looks away, forcing the hope down, and folds her arms uneasily as snow begins to fall around her.]

It's not going to stop, it never does. If I had some gloves -

[She stops up short. Hadn't she just promised herself she'd never wear the gloves again? And now here she is, once again trapped among people she could hurt, reaching for them immediately. But what other choice does she have, if she's stuck here? She can't just freeze everything, and she hasn't got a room to hide in.]
sailorgenerous: (Not quite what I had in mind)

[Rarity recognizes that look - she's seen it on other ponies and worn it more than once herself. There's something else going on here, something she doesn't know about, and it's obviously very upsetting to Elsa. When she speaks again, her tone is softer, a bit more gentle.]

Yes, it does. I don't know any unicorns who haven't had at least one.

[Hers dragged her about a mile outside of Ponyville to a giant rock. She gets the feeling Elsa won't be earning her cutie mark from this, though, especially when her mood seemingly takes a turn for the worse and it starts to snow.]

[Rarity checks the sky briefly, just to make sure there aren't any Windigos about, but the sky is clear aside from the flurries.]

I happen to be a fashion designer. If you need gloves, I can make you a pair, though I do think you could use a distraction as well.

Well... [Elsa takes a deep breath, rubbing her hands together as if for warmth. This does absolutely nothing to stop the snow.] ...alright.

[She doesn't sound especially happy about the idea, but going with the unicorn fashion designer to get some new gloves might just be the best short-term solution.

She'll deal with how bizarre this is later.]
